Pilot launching in Exeter, UK

Free period products, covered by ads — not women.

We got you covered.

Smart dispensers stocked with free, plastic-free period products, in the places people actually need them. No cost. No card. No catch. Brands fund it; everyone benefits.

↓ Why this matters

Target venues include universities, train stations, stadiums, festivals, offices, shopping centres, airports, schools and community centres.

The problem

Period poverty is real —
and it's happening here.

In the UK today, more than one in ten women and people who menstruate struggled to afford period products in the last year. Behind that number are impossible choices no one should have to make.

A period can start in a lecture, on a shift, halfway through a match. What happens next shouldn't depend on the coins in your pocket. So we're putting the answer on the wall — *free*, for everyone, no questions asked. *Period.*

Where we're headed

Starting in Exeter.
Not stopping there.

Phase 1 — Up first

Exeter pilot

Proof of concept: our first dispensers land in high-footfall Exeter locations. Real users, real data, real impact — from day one.

Phase 2

20+ machines across the UK

Using pilot data to roll out to universities, stadiums and transport hubs nationwide — funded by advertising partners.

The big picture

Beyond the UK

Partnering with larger advertisers to fund outreach in lower-income countries — because period poverty has no borders.

🎥 We're building this in public

Every step of the journey — the wins, the rejections, the spreadsheets — documented openly. Social channels are launching alongside the pilot.

Questions

Fair enough — ask away.

COVERED is a UK social enterprise that installs smart dispensers giving out free, plastic-free period products. The service is funded entirely by brands advertising on the dispensers' 32-inch screens — users pay nothing, venues host for free, and advertisers fund the products. The first pilot launches in Exeter.
Really free — no coins, no cards, no subscriptions. Advertisers pay for the ad space on our screens and packaging, and that revenue covers the products, the machines and the restocking. The only "catch" is a short sponsor message while the machine dispenses.
High-quality, plastic-free and biodegradable pads and tampons, dispensed in convenient 4-packs. Good for you, better for the planet.
Anyone who needs period products — students, commuters, visitors, anyone caught off guard. A gentle monthly fair-use limit keeps stock available for everyone, with a simple way to request more if you need it.
We're building to UK GDPR and PECR standards from day one — privacy by design. Marketing consent is always a separate, un-ticked opt-in, and you keep full control of your data, including the right to erasure. Our initial pilot collects no personal data at all.
Brand-safe only. Think beauty, wellness, fashion, food and student services — never adult, gambling, political or otherwise sensitive content. Venues approve the environment their visitors experience.
If you run a venue, host a unit. If you work with a brand, tell your marketing team about us. And if you just like the idea — follow the journey when our channels launch, and spread the word.

Let's get everyone covered.

Advertise with purpose, host a dispenser, or just say hello — we'd love to hear from you.
